Designed by Studios Architects, and recently built, this home is truly representative of the architecture of its time. It is modern, eco-friendly and has an industrial style that beautifully marries elements like wood, metal and stone.

The front facade of the home consists of rectangular and square-shaped structures that have unconventional walling such as wooden panels, steel beams, and stones packed into wire baskets, giving it a unique, layered and multi-textured design.

The steel beams and wooden elements used outside are also brought inside, helping to create a seamless flow between the exterior and interior spaces. This chic, contemporary home is the epitome of open-plan living. It has very few walls and doors, and the passages are made from steel beams that you can look through.

The master en suite bedroom is undoubtedly the statement room in the home, and has been designed in keeping with the current trends. This on-trend room space is known as the open-plan bedroom/bathroom – there are no walls that separate these two spaces, lending itself to one big private living space.

The freestanding tub in the bathroom area is positioned in the ideal spot, overlooking the gorgeous, green landscape to enhance the bathing experience of these residents. The large windows in the bathroom do not just allow for a scenic, rejuvenating bath, but also permit plenty of natural light to stream through to this area.

The home is also fully automated, so audio, lighting, heating and many other functions are controlled using interfaces that are located throughout the house. For these residents, coming home to a warm, cosy area during the cold, winter months is as easy as the touch of a button. And what makes these fireplaces even more appealing – they are technologically-advanced pellet fireplaces that are energy efficient, as renewable fuel is used, which reduces the strain on the electricity grid.

These owners also took an eco-friendly approach to the interior decor – some of the floors are made from cork, and the beautiful, wooden antique furniture was sourced online and then upcyled.

It is personal touches like these that make this property a modern masterpiece that truly feels like home.
