
Monday Blues

Feeling sluggish and tired today? Suffering from the Monday blues? Don’t worry, you are not alone! After a weekend of over-indulging on yummy food and a glass or two (or three) of wine, many face that Monday morning meeting with little enthusiasm and struggle to get back into a week of healthy eating.
But do not despair… By simply following a couple of the following pointers, we will have you feeling great in no time!
Firstly, ditch the fatty, spicy and sweet food and rather opt for light meals that comprise plenty of fiber and nutrients. Remember to include three meals and three healthy snacks a day to kick your metabolism into gear. Fill up on plenty of water and herbal tea – steering clear of coffee and black tea as these are jam packed with dehydrating caffeine. And fizzy drinks are a definite no-no!
Secondly, get moving! Go for a walk around the block during lunch or take the stairs instead of using the lift. You will be surprised at how great a little bit of cardio can make you feel.
And lastly, the weekend is only five days away so eat well and exercise until Friday and you won’t feel too guilty about indulging a little over the weekend.
