Serengeti Nature and Golf Estate is one of the most natural and tranquil developments in Gauteng. Its great infrastructure and security offer home owners peace of mind, while allowing them to enjoy a home surrounded by nature.

“The sense of security, lifestyle and architectural aesthetic inspired the creation of our home,” the owner says. “We wanted a home that offered a space which is homely, secure and personal.”

The home is a true reflection of the owners’ sense of style, which influenced their desire to have a home that flowed from the inside to the outdoors. The architecture took into account both the architectural guidelines of the estate and the home owners’ needs, and included the introduction of natural light and height, as large panes of glass open up the space.

The home is open-plan, with the bedroom flowing seamlessly into the bathroom. The entrance links into the kitchen, dining and entertainment area, which then leads guests out on to the terrace.

“There are no dividing lines between the functions of these spaces, and we love enjoying this area with family and friends. It can also be a lovely, quiet space that you can enjoy alone,” notes the home owner.

“I think the outside terrace leading into the garden, with the boma overlooking the lake, is a pleasure to take in; it just brings that outside living even closer to home. It’s one of the things that makes me look forward to coming home.” The house was built with sustainable energy in mind, offering solar energy options, which allow it to function off the grid.
