The unspoiled views of the city landscape are something worth coming home to after a hard day at work. And this home, nestled in this estate, is perfect for a starter family requiring a modern home. The location offers a tranquil setting, while still being in the heart of the city.

The idea of converting industrial spaces into luxurious residential properties is what guides the architecture of this home, with the liberal use of concrete, wood and double-volume ceilings.

With two bedrooms and a study, the home may be just enough for a small family, but there is also an upstairs pyjama lounge, a patio and a small garden. And there are plenty of spaces for relaxation – the balcony off the study is the perfect spot for enjoying an afternoon with a good book. Entertaining is effortless, as the dining area flows out to the patio and garden.

The decor is a mix of classic and modern designs, with most of the pieces in the home having been made locally. To enable the space to feel more open and airy, a neutral colour palette was employed across all of the furnishings, with pops of colour added through various accessories, such as scatter cushions, vases and throws.

This home is easy to maintain and to live in, making it simple to just lock up and go.
