Bath time is a fun time, and for growing minds this is just another opportunity to sail off into a fantasy world. Children love having a special place of their own, so why not remodel a bathroom and create a kids’ bathroom that is made them to meets their needs?
Plan for different ages
Separating the shower and bath is useful when children of varying ages are sharing a bathroom. This allows older kids to bath or shower while the other is supervised using the bath.
If more than one child will be sharing the space, consider double basins and a large mirror to avoid squabbles.
Bathroom tile ideas
Use a neutral coloured tile for the floors and walls. Choose one wall and create a fun feature wall using colourful tiles.
Safety is an important element for a kid’s bathroom, make sure that the tiles are non-slip and use as bathrooms mats as well.
Safety
Look for taps and mixers that have temperature control settings. This will ensure that water temperature never reaches a dangerous heat.
Sharp edges should also be avoided when possible, rather opt for more rounded sanitaryware products to minimise injury. These are also great as they fit well in a more fun theme.
Choosing the right bathroom cabinets
Avoid clutter with sufficient storage space. Make sure that cabinets have plenty of space with shelves and drawers to put away toys.
Fun bathroom accessories
Finish off by adding colour with fun kids children bathroom accessories that can be easily changed over time. These include soap dishes, hooks, and toothbrush holders.
