It was the love of golf that lured these passionate owners to the welcoming Pearl Valley Estate in Paarl. They say that everything about this estate suits their retired, yet active, sporty lifestyle.
Hailing from the fashion design industry, the owners’ individual styles become evident in the finest and most precise proportions and tones. The abundance of space that offers generous flow between living areas, and in particular the colours enhancing the proportional dynamics of each room, create an elegant contemporary ambience throughout this luxury home. The owners say that what is unique about this house is the total absence of any handles anywhere, allowing all cupboards and drawers to open by way of touch mechanisms, apparently a first for the kitchen company too.
When moving through the house one is drawn in by brilliant splashes of red in prominent places such as entire walls, rugs, head-boards and bathroom ceramic tiling. For the owner who loves this colour, it had to feature prominently and in a way that complements the other textures and tones. Possibly the most striking feature in the house, notwithstanding the magnificent outdoor patio and luxurious pool entertainment areas, are the incredible stainless steel and glass staircases. Designed and built by V F Steel Solutions, the main staircase won a merit award from the SA Stainless Steel Development Association in recognition of innovation and excellence in the use of stainless steel.
This innovative home, both a visual and tactile feast in every sense, offers its owners and visitors a home glistening with a dynamic flow of energy.
