As with most things in life, a well researched and properly executed plan results in a long held vision becoming a reality. “Rome was not built in a day”, yet the time it took to build this house was well worth the final result.
Attesting to this, these home owners couldn’t have asked for a better result. The home is ideally located, making use of the natural surrounding beauty of the mountain and dam. Incorporating a natural appearance, the exterior complements its natural surroundings in its design and ingenious use of colour.
“We wanted a family home for the next 20 years, with a focus on light and open space,” say the residents. As such, using the expertise of an interior designer resulted in a natural decor theme in order to allow a seamless flow of the outside in and vice versa.
The house is open-plan in design with public and private spaces well defined.
Boasting all the requirements of a modern-day lifestyle, the exterior of the home is just as breathtaking as its interior. The kitchen is a chef’s dream and boasts a sleek and contemporary style further accentuated by tasteful and well-chosen appliances. The dark hues of the cupboards in this space complement the silver hues of the appliances, while the combination of the neutral hues of the tiles produce a serene ambience throughout.
