“We’re people’s people. We want our visitors to feel right at home, and spoil them a little,” says the owner of this magnificent Lowveld sanctuary.
Indeed, there’s nothing the family likes as much as a good ‘kuier’, something that the space restrictions in their previous home made a bit difficult. They’re taking full advantage of the roomy dimensions of this house, putting the open-plan living and dining rooms, complete with bar, to good use. “The area opens on both sides, making this a very special place to spend time on a Lowveld evening,” says the owner, noting that the view over the pool adds to the ambience.
The house’s design and palette have borrowed heavily from the tones and hues present in its natural surrounds, ensuring a coherent, harmonious whole.
