The home exudes a modern, minimalistic feel with an African flair throughout and incorporates an indoor-outdoor style of living. The interior and furnishings were collected over time and were chosen by the family themselves to add their lively personality to every element of this home. “It shows who we are and also how we live our lives,” they say.
Large open spaces flow seamlessly together, opening out through large doors and windows onto the spectacular owl sanctuary that the house overlooks. This key element of nature was brought into the house through “accents of red and green in the house, which endorses the passion that we, as a family, have for life and nature. The brief included a large entertainment area with ‘comfortable living’ as a must-have”, add the home owners.
All bedrooms are positioned on the first floor, each with their own en suite bathroom. The house seems to work around the layered outside entertainment area. “We entertain a lot. The heated overflow pool is always full of children and their friends, and the large covered patio invites weekly get-togethers with friends and family.”
There is a buzz around this home’s design and interior, complemented by the simplistic circled garden. This home is a true reflection of family values and a zest for living.
