Every couple of months I get to feel like a bit of a celebrity, when I have photos taken for my Ed’s Note page. I like to do a couple at a time for practicality (so if you see the same hairstyle over a couple of issues, now you know why!)
I love beautiful things and beautiful places, so when we set up a photoshoot at Sun International’s recently launched Maslow Hotel in Sandton, I was in my element. The shoot was for my Ed’s Letter and our Meet Our Team pages (where we introduce you to the wonderful people working behind the magazine that we put together), and my anticipation at spending some time in the gorgeous interiors was almost tangible.
Late last year I test-drove the Aston Martin Virage, a sleek and powerful vehicle that ignited my passion for supercars and sportscars that I didn’t realise was patiently biding its time. I have spent much time since then, cladding my basic knowledge of cars and motoring with more substantial facts and figures – which led me to spending a day in the sister of the Virage – the Rapide sedan.
