As do many families these days, these home owners chose an estate because they wanted a secure environment for themselves and their children.
Their biggest requirement was to see the dam on the green area from all of the rooms in the home. This meant lifting the house above the natural ground level slightly; this, with the fall of the land, gave them the opportunity to include a curved staircase, leading both up to the first floor and down to the basement.
“When designing our home, we asked the architect to give us a Bali-style home. We also tried to bring the style into our murals and furniture throughout the home. And we kept most of the colour schemes neutral,” the owner says.
