One of the perks of working for SA Home Owner is getting to see – and indulge in – a wide variety of exquisite homes on a daily basis. There are, however, a few that are truly special and stand out from the crowd. Over the next few weeks we’ll be bringing you a selection of “stand-out” rooms from the homes featured on the pages of our magazine. Here are some of our favourite bathrooms.

The opulent freestanding bath and matching Ovo basins were supplied by Sterlings. This is testimony to the exclusive products the company has been supplying for the past 23 years. Sterlings is a market leader in bathrooms and Italian kitchens.

With calming tones of white and grey throughout this open-plan house, it is the perfect place to unwind after a long day at the office and a difficult commute home.

French country design often incorporates ruffles, distressed woodwork and soft, patterned fabrics. Using some of these ideas, the home owner aimed at a laid-back feeling and a “farmhouse look”.

The owners of this home were inspired by old historical buildings such as cathedrals and churches in Europe, so with the help from their architectural designer, Julian van der Linde, they managed to give their home a timeless quality, despite it being newly built.
