This contemporary-style home exudes an overall visual balance of perfectly aligned rectangular shapes, both in and outdoors. The clean lines support multi-coloured elements in enhancing the exquisite custom-designed pigmented cement floors. The solid, warm, and beautifully engineered timber floors create a restful environment that holds together the sleek designer elements of the decor.
Generous in size, the bedrooms have large windows and balcony enclosures that draw the outdoor beauty of the estate into the interior. A selection of elegant soft furnishings and fine art completes each bedroom where comfort was clearly a consideration.
The interior of the house features a fine collection of furniture, cabinetry and balustrades that were designed and custom-manufactured by Hollywood Homes. Ultra modern pieces illustrate a sleek designer approach in superior quality finishes.
The house was designed by architect Jason Berchowitz of Beam Architects, to face north-easterly to maximise the magnificent sea views, yet allow maximum northerly sun to enter the home. The architect dealt with the steep slope by cutting into the mountain to create a retaining edge on the western side of the site that allowed the driveway access from that side of the property, and living spaces opening up onto the timber deck. The result is a seamless, elevated view across the raised deck and super rim flow pool. Neil Frew of Frew Construction, who completed this solid brick and mortar construction project, says the plot offered a relatively uncomplicated building site despite the steep slope.
A dream escape from city life, this lovely home offers its owners all the necessary trimmings needed for a perfect holiday.
