Bios Planters from Japi by Hingham giveaway

Written by Shereen Lurie

Stand a chance to win a set of three Bios Planters from Japi by Hingham valued at R4 723.

Japi by Hingham brings to South Africa this stylish range of lightweight and durable planters. Manufactured in Brazil, they have been distributed to many countries since the roto-moulding facility opened in 1993. Hingham Nursery has been importing glazed and terracotta pots for a number of years. However, Japi planters are a first in South Africa and are set to fill a gap in the market for affordable planters that provide an upmarket finish. The styles are a perfect fit for current design trends.

The lightweight aspect is convenient while the material does not chip or crack and can be easily cleaned to maintain their condition. The raw material is non-toxic, UV-protected for outdoor use and is 100% recyclable. Japi gives a 10-year warranty on the product. Terms and conditions apply.
Julie Scragg, owner of Hingham Nursery, runs the landscaping division and has an eye for anything new to assist her in her quest to make beautiful spaces. When she saw Japi pots, it was love at first sight, and she couldn’t wait to introduce them to the South African market. They are easily transported and available to be couriered countrywide. Shipping is free for purchases over R2 500 on the Japi By Hingham website.

The pots may be supplied with or without drainage holes, which gives a number of planting options, particularly undercover. Scragg’s preference is to avoid drip trays that stain tiles and spoil the sleek lines of the pots. She is available for advice on planting options and plant choices as well as design and colour options.

The Bios Planters set is a contemporary design available in lead and off-white. This particular design has attracted much attention with the rustic cask and European vertical styles running a close second.
