Bathrooms

Blue moon

By Rami Moorosi

The mosaic tiles in different shades of blue artistically add colour to a space that would otherwise have a clinical look. The colour is both calming and invigorating.

Perhaps one of the most important factors about the bathroom is its ability to meet the needs of both adults and growing children. This can be seen in the choice of the curved sink, which is appropriate for children, as it minimises potential bruises from bumps and falling as compared to one with corners. The two cabinets under the sink offer storage space for items including bath-time toys – the benefit of these is that, at a later stage, they can be used to suit the needs of older children as well as adults.

The height-adjustable hand shower on the rail makes it ideal for children of any age, whether alone or aided. It can also be adjusted with time as children grow. The creativity of the bathroom lies not only in its use of colour and fixtures, but in the way they have been put together.
