Coco De Mer offers its discerning guests a memorable getaway in a locale that is ideally positioned in the middle of a natural eco forest, with a backdrop of the warm, tropical Indian Ocean. The hotel was originally a home before its remarkable transformation.
Architect John Wallis of JW Consulting explains: “The hotel is situated in an estuary-like environment at the edge of the Pigeonwood forest, just off the Emberton beach. Great care was taken in the design of the building to harmonise with the pristine natural surrounds.”
The building boasts a rugged structure with fine lines and rustic finishings. The style of the interiors is one of comfort and splendour, with lighting and exquisite chandeliers playing an important role.
All of the 16 luxurious suites were designed for relaxation, with stylish decor, king-sized beds and en-suite bathrooms that boast large baths and showers. These have been creatively partitioned with shutters in a teak finish, which are great for adding privacy while complementing the overall aesthetics of the rooms.
Guests at Coco De Mer can enjoy an array of facilities, such as the modern swimming pool, while enjoying the benefits of the in-house restaurant or high tea in one of the tea-garden areas.
Whether it is for elegant dining, events or getaways, this boutique hotel prides itself on close interaction with its guests and patrons, ensuring a memorable experience.
