How to buy blinds

By Dave Nemeth

Lately there has been a big move away from traditional window treatments such as curtains, towards the more practical option of blinds. This is a large product category, however, with alot of choices, and making the right decision can be quite a complicated affair. It is all about controlling natural light, and one has far more flexibility with blinds. Here are the most common types of blinds, and what they offer.

Venetian blinds

Introduced to the world in the 1950s, Venetian blinds offer you precise control of light intensity and direction with the quick twist of a wand. There is an ever-expanding range of colours, finishes and slat widths to choose from.
