According to these home owners, their favourite room in the home is the TV room/lounge. “It has such a warm and comfortable feel and opens onto the patio, with the pool visible through the windows as it runs the length of the house,” explain the owners. It is with the same sense of togetherness for the entire family that this home has been designed and built.
The main aim for the creation of this charming dwelling was that it had to be a family home, child-friendly yet at the same time still be attractive and modern in its design. With a set brief, the home was constructed to showcase dedicated rooms for a playroom, dining room, TV room and a study, yet due to the design it still manages to reveal an open-plan nature with airy interiors.
The styling of the home, that is its architectural design, was specific to the complex in which the home is located, and the owners were more than happy to go with this theme as they liked the modern, contemporary look throughout. On the other hand, and to ensure that their home had a distinct look, they had carte blanche on the interior structure and design. By working with an interior decorator, the home’s interiors are charmingly chic yet functional and practical.
Accentuating the homely feeling was the choice of furniture and soft furnishings. Materials in a variety of hues and textures add depth to each area but remain practical for family living. Each room has been furnished with only quality pieces that add visual appeal and character to the spaces in which they feature. With the composition of each room, the owners have made provision for spaces that are functional and practical without sacrificing style.
