Samsung’s new UHD TV was unleashed on South Africa last week. With the signature “S” – the identification reserved for its most premium flagship products – the SUHD TV signifies a true leap forward in technology.

Launched at a splendid event hosted at the new Scuderia showroom in Bryanston, the backdrop of a herd of Ferraris saw media and industry professionals enjoying bubbly and delightful finger snacks as we awaited the announcement of the extraordinary UHD offering by Samsung. This was done following a riveting video play of pivotal moments in the career of SA Bokke player, Victor Matfield – not riveting purely for the momentous rugby tries, but more so for the extreme quality of the UHD screen.

Having been developed to excite all of the senses, with Sensational Picture, Seamless Interaction and a Stylish Curved design, the UHD TV is underpinned by eco-friendly nano-crystal technology, which provides viewers with 64 times more colour expression than conventional TVs . This equals a 4K LED screen makes real life more real (this is not said lightly, as I was truly awestruck by the vivid clarity and colours on the screen).

The Samsung SUHD TV (JS9500) features Samsung’s Chamfer bezel framework, adding more depth to the screen, with the elegant frame making the TV look like an artwork when mounted on the wall. The soft, textured shirring pattern on the back ensures that the TV maintains its stylish edge from any angle, making it appear to display a soft, undulating fabric.

Streaming content, games, apps, social connectivity – it’s all available in a variety of sizes to suit any size room. Why be left out of the Next generation of ultra-high-definition viewing? The SUHD TV brings the “next” into the now.
