Themed “Take it Home, Make it Home”, Decorex Joburg 2016 boasts attractions aplenty for design-hungry home-lovers. And, with 100% Design South Africa taking place for the third time alongside the show, design junkies are guaranteed a titanic fix of the latest local and global decorating trends.
Highlights of this year’s show include the perennially popular Plascon stand, at which will be revealed, for the very first time, Plascon’s 2017 Colour Forecast. Also topping the must-see agenda is the Franke “Heart of the Home” Kitchen Project, as well as the Designer Spotlight feature.
Making its debut at the 2016 show is the Considered Home in association with the Goodwood Co presented by Decorex SA – a practical interpretation of the now-trending look for interiors. Also new is the keenly anticipated Top Man by The Tile Gallery feature, which promises a healthy dose of testosterone-fuelled fun.
The Designer Trend Pods feature, meanwhile, will showcase the creative talents of its awarded designers in a decidedly African-inspired setting. In another first, 10 special Decorex Ambassadors will each select their chair of choice in the interactive #decorexhotseats campaign. And the new Maker’s Corner hosted by SA Maker Collective promises to be an interactive space where visitors are encouraged to roll up their sleeves and give free rein to their creative inclinations.
Of course, foodies, too, will get their fill of the fun, with endless dining options, from casual cafés and wine bars to full-service restaurants.
