This estate boasts never-ending grasslands, sweeping ocean views and tranquil pockets of coastal forest, stretched out across 430 hectares of rehabilitated farmland.
In planning their home at Simbithi, the owners specifically wanted the architect to capitalise on the unobstructed ocean views. To achieve this, glass was used to great effect throughout in the form of folding doors and floor-to-ceiling windows. This ensures incomparable views of the ocean from nearly every room.
The interior is classic and understated, and the overall look clean and crisp, exuding a unique sense of style. Each room was lovingly and expertly styled, and the bedrooms were created to be sanctuaries of serenity. In the main bedroom, turquoise accessories are juxtaposed with crisp white linen to create a contemporary yet laid-back seaside feel.
In the open-plan living and entertainment areas, choice contemporary elements and sophisticated taste come together in a design symphony, while in the exclusive designer kitchen, the light-coloured cabinets are tastefully combined with black granite surfaces.
The home’s dynamic layout ensures a seamless blend between the interior and exterior, with the expansive wooden deck effectively becoming an extension of the home itself.
The owners’ vision of simplicity and subtle sophistication has come to fruition in this pristine home, nestled in the most spectacular surroundings.
