‘Eish!!’, a true South African expression if ever there was one, has taken on a new meaning in the form of a new restaurant in Secunda, Mpumalanga. The idea behind it was to convert an existing franchise in Secunda into a fun and lively restaurant that truly embraces the essence of South African culture and food, appealing to all the diverse local cultures, as well as be a talking point for international tourists.
Designed by trend specialist and regular SA Home Owner contributor, Dave Nemeth, Eish!! reflects the lighter side of South African lifestyle, and has a humorous take on our country without being political or kitsch. All the decor, including the photography, was conceptualised and created by Dave’s team, with the view of ultimately franchising out the store both locally and, potentially even, internationally
The menu boasts of proudly South African cuisine, offering everything from gourmet bunny chows to favourites such as lamb curry, oxtail stew and triple patty burgers for the very hungry.
