Situated within a private cul-de-sac, they designed their home as open and spacious as possible, to encompass the natural views and make the best of our South African weather. The Zimbali structure and design lends itself to luxurious indoor-outdoor living, which allows for easy entertaining all year round.
To make the best of the views, a mass of stacking doors cover the exterior all around the house, and together with large windows, the home is filled with an array of natural light and opens onto the well-manicured garden and pool
area. The house was designed around an internal Koi pond, which creates a relaxing ambience and produces a sense of tranquility. The dark wooden decking, created by Timber Trends, leads one to the outdoor living area. Walking into the home, you are struck by a sense of openness and a seamless flow of easy living. Natural elements of dark wood and cladding are brought in flawlessly throughout the home, while splashes of ethnic elements bring an African and homely feel to each area.
The lavishness of the kitchen is an inspiration. Kitted with modern equipment and finishings, the centre island, with basin and comfortable bar chairs, becomes a social workplace and eating area. The contrast of dark mahogany wood cabinetry and latte CaesarStone countertops, has resulted in a classy workplace. The upstairs bedrooms open out onto the top balcony, allowing the family to wake up to exquisite views. Leading from the bedrooms, the bathrooms are decked out elegantly with simplistic white sanitaryware and beige tiles.
Each element of this home was carefully chosen and placed to create a home filled with passion and laughter.
