From appliances, utensils, gadgets, crockery and cutlery to table linen, gifts and more, you’ll be desperate to tie your apron strings and start entertaining from the moment you enter the shop. While most items are beautiful to behold, quality and functionality are what you’ll find in this haven for foodies, entertainers and homemakers alike.

My kitchen is quite possibly one of my favourite places on earth, which is why I have always wanted to open a shop filled with the things I love and find most useful when indulging my second passion, cooking and baking for friends and family. The Kitchen Pantry is the realisation of that dream and it has been designed with the person who finds joy in cooking and good food in mind,” explains owner, Penny Owens.

The shop only sells brands which speak of home, including the likes of Le Creuset, Victorinox, KitchenAid, Joseph and Bodum. Owens cites the bright red and beautiful KitchenAid, as well as the non-stick, non-toxic “Green Pan” as among her favourite items in the store.

The Kitchen Pantry also stages MasterClass evenings with a demonstration chef, for those looking for a night out with a difference. Up to 12 guests are placed around a fantastically large kitchen table you wish you could call your own. Guests are invited to bring a bottle of their favourite wine to enjoy alongside the meal that has been cooked before their very eyes. The themes of the evenings vary from French, Italian and Lebanese to cooking with only four ingredients. At R400/head this is money well spent for a night you won’t easily forget.
