Situated a mere 5km from Umhlanga, the estate where this home is situated is close enough to main amenities yet far enough to simply escape from it all.
This perfectly designed home, the work of the experienced team at Hans Coetzee Architect, a firm famous for an unwavering commitment to designing environments that shape the way people live, learn, work and play, makes the most of its prime position overlooking the rolling green.
While the exterior boasts merely a touch of French influence, with rich royal colours that create a relaxed and inviting atmosphere, the interior, also inspired by true French elegance, is luxurious and indulgent.
Here, a key player in the overall look and feel was House of Interiors, which, in collaboration with Vlaamse Linne, provided
the home owners with a turnkey design service, professionally handling the overall interior design and decorating. The result is an elegant and sophisticated French-inspired home.
To create the desired feel, a fine selection of exclusive furniture, wallpaper, artwork, mirrors, ornaments, lamps and accessories was chosen.
For the owners, attention to detail was paramount. This is evident in everything from the ornate balustrade and timeless, shimmering chandeliers to the quality furnishings.
While each of the rooms is beautiful to look at, specific details have been added that distinguish each space.
Beautiful antique pieces are also found throughout, and add character and style to the various living spaces.
The living spaces were designed to be practical yet beautiful. Again, colour plays an important role, and rich, evocative hues are combined with softer, muted shades to create interest, atmosphere and an authentic French feel.
The bathrooms are spectacular, with hanging crystal chandeliers creating a romantic atmosphere.
The bedrooms are designed with guests in mind – they are luxurious, welcoming and elegant.
There are seven golf courses in the area where avid golfers can hone their skills; nature lovers can hike, go horse riding, or even kayak on the Pani Dam; while those in need of pampering can visit one of many spas…or simply enjoy a shopping spree.
