Creating a sense of balance is never easy, but it seems these home owners have cracked it with their unique approach to life and design. By choosing to build their home almost an hour outside of Johannesburg beneath the splendour of the Magaliesberg Mountains, the owners are able to take advantage of life in the country while still enjoying the conveniences of the city and nearby shopping centres.
That said, the owner has made the home as hospitable as possible, inviting visitors to linger a little longer. “We wanted a home with a welcoming atmosphere with a sense of international style,” the owner says. “One that invites visitors in but also encourages the people who live here to move freely from area to area without feeling the space is dominated by a style or a characteristic of gender or age. All are welcome everywhere!”
