I had the privilege of being invited to join the LG Press Tour focusing on home appliances and air solutions at the headquarters in South Korea.
There was plenty in store for the press in attendance, with one of the activities including a visit to the LG Best Shop in Incheon.
The LG Best Shop is a one-stop shop for all of LG’s latest products, from smartphones and tablets, to front-loader washing machines, fridges and TVs. LG’s latest technological advances are in full display, and we were fortunate to experience a number of the brand’s latest innovations.
One of these is LG HomeChat, where you can communicate with all your smart home appliances through simple text messages. As ‘smart homes’ become a reality, you can direct your smart devices to perform certain activities, such as heating up food in the oven for a nice warm meal by the time you get home.
With HomeChat, you are also able to view the contents of your fridge, via a small camera inserted in the appliance, so you can see what you need during an impromptu visit to the grocery store.
Another feature includes downloading software to increase your washing machine’s functions, making it possible to update your current product instead of buying a whole new appliance.
The thinking behind all of this innovation is convenience, where you can manage your home easily with the touch of your fingertips.
