Taking three years to build due to its altitude, this home was also especially designed to fit around seven mature and existing trees, each of which had to constantly be protected so as to not get damaged during construction.
Large expanses of glass allow for an abundance of light to filter through. The decor theme adheres to a contemporary and minimalist style. Colours in shades of brown, camel, cinnamon, chocolate, rust and coffee are prominent. The interior is open-plan and spacious. The design principles of feng shui were also kept in mind when piecing it together, creating a well-balanced result.
The widely used solid wooden flooring has a red colour impregnation, further enhancing the home’s warmth, and natural dry-packed sandstone infused with orange, grey, cream and chocolate brown hues is found in all of the rooms, adding texture and depth. The comfortable, yet elegant furnishings throughout this home were selected by the owners. The L-shaped couches in the family room can be interchanged as desired, and are able to seat a number of visitors. The modern gas pebble fireplace provides luxurious heat during the colder months.
There are three spacious bedrooms on the upper level of the home, each with its own en-suite bathroom and access to wrap-around balconies. A home theatre room provides hours of leisure, while the large patio, deck, swimming pool and outdoor shower allow for outdoor fun.
With its exceptional surrounding indigenous and low-maintenance garden, and comfortable yet contemporary interior, this home respects the splendid beauty of the embracing mountain and is in complete harmony with its unsurpassed and natural beauty.
