In this home, the owner’s flair for interior design is seen in her choice of finishes and decor style. For the relaxed look and feel, she went for a light, neutral palette, with doors, window frames, venetian blinds and skirting boards in white.
The furniture selection is a harmonious blend of classic and modern, the main deciding factor being that it had to be comfortable and in a neutral shade. “I want to be able to put my feet up on the couches, and lie down on them while reading a great novel,” adds the owner. The home owners also have an eye for mixing natural tones. This is elegantly displayed in precious metal, sand, fog and pebble colours, with contrast injected through hints of duck egg blue or shades of teal.
This theme was used throughout the spaces to create a sophisticated look that is easy to live with. Soft furnishings complete the overall feel, with graceful curtains enhanced by decorative rods and holdbacks, cushions and throws.
Entertaining is made easy through the seamless flow of kitchen, dining and living areas, which lead effortlessly onto the patio, where you can enjoy the beautifully landscaped gardens and sprawling lawns.“Living in this estate has changed the way my family interacts with each other. There are now many walks as the sun goes down, slow bicycle rides on weekends and exercising in the open air of the golf fairways,” the owner says.
