Known for their revolutionary urban developments since they launched in 2014, Blok has recently launched Konnect, a showcase of up-and-coming local design pioneers.
Konnect’s selection of local artisanal designers have been handpicked for their creativity and shared design passion, coming together to create once-off limited edition pieces. These are not restricted to specific items, but, amongst the four chosen Konnect designers, will span functional design solutions including seating, storage, decor and more.
The Konnect designers are Jasper Eales, North Ltd, Stockton and Matblac. Each of these are known names in the local design world, and share Blok’s ethos of design being something that should not only add aesthetic value, but functional purpose too. The intent behind Konnect is to work regularly with a small local network of designers, but that with each new Konnect range there will be opportunities for collaboration with new designers and some of the old ones.
These Konnect designs are showcased in the Blok exhibition space at 51 Regent Road, Sea Point, and also available to view at www.blok.co.za/design/konnect.
