Situated on the recently revived Grant Ave, in the heart of Norwood, Beauty by Laser Day Spa is the perfect spot for city dwellers to take a quick time-out from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Whether you’re booking an express French manicure, or an indulgent 60-minute massage, the second you step into Beauty by Laser, the stress of the day disappears as their attentive staff whisk you away in preparation for your treatment.
I recently had the opportunity to experience the spa on a first-hand basis and whilst I had my heart set on trying out one of their signature treatments, Yael Katz, the owner of Beauty by Laser, suggested I spend 40 minutes in their Rasul Chamber followed by a 45-minute TheraNaka massage.
The Rasul Chamber is a traditional Arabic ritual that has been modernised to create a luxurious skin smoothing self-treatment, which blends a body scrub along with a mineral rich mud. The Rasul emits herbal infused steam and heat to provide an experience that cleanses, releases toxins and rejuvenates the body and skin.
It was my first time experiencing the Rasul Chamber, and it was a very special treat. As it is quite spacious it was perfect for someone like me, who gets overwhelmed in confined spaces. The chamber is incredibly opulent, with shimmering mosaic tiles on the walls and fragrant candles to further enhancing the overall experience. I would suggest to anyone going for a massage, to book at least a 30-minute Rasul Chamber session before they begin their other treatments.
Next up was the TheraNaka massage. The TheraNaka massage is an instant stress reliever. With benefits that range from decreased anxiety and increased concentration to improved circulation and enhanced sleep quality, a massage should become a monthly treat. The TheraNaka product range is an African earth range that has heavenly aromas and herbal purities that assist in relaxing the body.
