One with nature

When embarking on the creation of this impressive home, the home owners knew right from the start that this dwelling had to offer its residents not only a relaxing and tranquil environment, but also a design that harmonises with the surroundings rather than competing with it.

The design of the home lends itself to open-plan spaces, where the positive interaction between family and guests is the order of the day. While the living areas are open-plan and flow from space to space, the bedroom and bathroom areas are built to offer these occupants optimum comfort and relaxation in complete privacy.

Commenting on the actual design of the residence, the owners explain that the home optimises the layout of the land and gives its occupants the feeling of space and tranquillity of the area. “The house was built using an abundance of natural elements including wood and stone, which we feel relate to the feeling of being at one with nature,” says the owner. He adds that other elements such as the large window expanses and various other features found throughout the home also emphasise the nature-inspired style of the abode.

Having built several homes together as a family, remodelling a number of others and having successfully furnished their previous houses, the owners drew from their experience and decorated this charming dwelling themselves. “Our inspiration of stylish contemporary yet highly functional comfort for our family and friends is clearly shown in the simplicity of the furnishings, giving everyone who enters the home a feeling of calm relaxation and unclutteredness,” remark the owners.

Using only superior quality materials as well as trendy designs, the fitted furniture not only looks amazing, but is guaranteed to stand the test of time. A project undertaken by Quantum Line is the outside decking and balustrades that add a sleek aesthetic to this area. As a focal feature in this area, the decking is further accentuated with lights, and when viewed at night, this entire area is truly striking.
