Surrounded by beautiful beaches, a small resort town in KwaZulu-Natal is home to this recently renovated property.
Situated within a very secure, quiet and low-traffic area, the plot is large and the house is sited in a way that creates different outdoor spaces – verandah, swimming pool, braai, courtyard and garden – all of which celebrate our South African lifestyle. “There are little nooks where you can quietly read a book yet also large spaces for entertaining. It’s very versatile,” says the owner.
While the home was renovated to the owner’s liking, it didn’t involve major alterations. The owner explains: “We wanted to raise the roof to encompass the stellar views and create the studio with two windowed walls, which has a separate entrance adjacent to it. We also added a patterned wraparound pergola to create shade and continuity, as well as an enclosed braai area to make the most of the view.”
