With its ideal location, that ensures that the owners are in close proximity to schools, a university, shopping malls, as well as her husband’s office, this striking home offers its residents a convenient lifestyle.
Although the original structure of the home was kept, everything else, including the ceilings, tiles, cupboards, kitchen, bathrooms, carpets and so forth, were stripped and replaced. “Only the outside walls and roof were left standing after the demolishing team had finished their jobs,” recalls the owner.
The walls between the patio, TV room, dining room and bar area were knocked down to create a huge open-plan space. Folding stacking doors were installed and windows were replaced by French doors that open up onto the new patio, leading to the pool area.
The exterior Tuscan look was replaced with a more modern, classic style using natural and earthy tones. Some of the arched windows were replaced with straight lines, and the rounded columns were redesigned to show off straight columns that have been covered with sandstone – ultimately enhancing the home’s natural and modern aesthetics.
The interior of the residence shows off clean, contemporary lines that were combined with a neutral palette and natural materials, including linen, leather, silk, wood and sandstone products.
Even though they had to move out of their home for four months while the renovations took place, the result is what matters … an imposing home that exudes regal living.
