It is not often that one comes across a home that caters for every single member of the family. However for this home, the architectural design was based on the fundamental necessity of creating a home for both its residing families – one that meets the requirements of each member but at the same time still offers privacy, “ultimately resulting in a butterfly effect”.

“Our home is a small village with different facades, and brings together the French Provencal and Spanish hacienda styles,” explains the owner.

The merging of these two themes can be seen through various elements in and around the home, but one feature that ties the themes together in an impressive manner is the roof tiles that have been shipped into the country directly from Spain.

“We wanted a home that blended with its environment, creating an all-in-one inside and outside with a multitude of areas to sit, relax, work and enjoy the different views and feelings of the house,” says the owner.

The exterior of this grand home showcases diverse facades and a dynamic landscape, while the interior decor lends itself to spaces that are clean, fresh, contemporary and elegant.

When it came to the interior spaces, these residents had a specific theme and colour scheme in mind. Natural linen, leather and oak were some of the materials of choice, while the soothing colour of white can be seen throughout to enhance the minimalistic look that was required. The home has been accentuated and accessorised using the many decorative pieces that have been collected from the owners’ travels throughout the world. This not only adds an aesthetic appeal to this home but also creates character and warmth in each interior space.
