Nothing was left to chance and close attention to detail is seen in features such as the doors that boast a frame surround made in solid timber and finished in a hand painted technique. Glass cabinet doors continued this theme with a paint technique finish called “antique glaze” with gauze panels on the doors above the fridges and glass doors.
Worktops and door knobs are in solid oak timber that has been beautifully stained in a teak-like colour – this is an excellent touch as it adds to the authenticity of a bygone classical era. To further enhance this space, designers used open wicker baskets with timber frames, an under-counter mounted porcelain sink and a marble island worktop.
The overall effect is a beautiful and functional culinary space that is warm and inviting.
