There are some gorgeous fabrics available to choose from, from linens to suedes, and then umpteen styles to choose from.
A few things to keep in mind: durability (will the items be used often or only on formal occasions) and stain-resistance (especially if you have kids and pets – scotch-guarding is great!) of fabrics; colour scheme (will the colour be an accent in the room, or more subtle to blend into the background); and professionally done or DIY (this will require some work and preparation in terms of tools, as well as your time).
Remember that reupholstery is not just about fabrics and colours – it can include the mechanisms in a piece of furniture, be it springs or damaged wood.
