A significant feature of this dwelling can be clearly seen and felt when one takes into consideration the emphasis placed on water. Apart from the gracious pool, the owners also requested that the home be designed in such a way that it made allowance for the incorporation of various water features.

“There is a pond with a bridge that runs over it at the front door as well as four other dazzling water features that can be seen throughout the home,” says the owner, and she adds that since her husband is an avid professional angler, the inclusion of water features was a must.

The architect also created ample parking space for the owners’ boats and other watercrafts, ensuring that all of the needs and requirements that these owners had were met with elegance and grace.

The interior spaces were brought to life by the owners, who opted to decorate the spaces according to their preferences. An abundance of natural materials was used, including wooden floors and stone tiles and these, together with large windows, create a natural and warm ambience throughout.

Persian rugs, camel bags, oriental throws and a variety of other decor items, which were all collected during the owners’ vast international travels, were used throughout the home to bring character and appeal to certain spaces.

Adding the final touches to this home is the generous 16m² wine cellar which is located in the basement. With so much to offer, this charming home has been designed to ensure tranquil bliss and an indulgent lifestyle of note.
