Treasured memories

I love visiting the homes of other people. It is not just seeing how your friends live, but also seeing their true personalities come out through their decor and finishes. But mostly I love looking at people’s photos. What pictures they select, how they collect them, and most of all how they display them. Photos for me are a happy assembly of memories, which keep us linked to our past and remind us who we are.

Whether you make a collage on a pin board, have a picture wall full of frames, or randomly scatter them throughout your home, everyone does something. Yet it is always a rare find when you stumble across something quite out of the ordinary. It is one of the best solutions I have come across that can work for so many home owners – and combines two of my favourite things – wallpaper and pictures.

It’s not so much the novelty of it, as we all know about custom designer wallpaper, which is a whole exciting option all on its own, but rather the actual design.

Collaborating with artist Robin Sprong, design solution company Image Engineers have taken its imaging and framing to a whole new level. The company can take your precious memories and transform them into a work of art – something you will never grow tired of. The design is remarkable and the effect completely unique. Definitely one of my favourite finds so far for 2012!
