The Tuscan style of the house was largely inspired by the owners’ travels abroad. The home is ideally situated on an estate that boasts uninterrupted scenic views.
A great example of these concepts put together is seen in the entrance of the home – this space has been adorned with a romantic floating staircase and is an art work in its own right. Magnificent with custom-made wrought iron balustrading, this not only makes a bold statement but also sets the tone of what is yet to come – undisputed sophistication and glamour.
The practical layout of the interiors comprises the home office, the guest suite and the living area all found on the ground floor. Upstairs are the three bedrooms and two large bathrooms and an inviting patio. The main bathroom makes a striking statement with concrete columns with hand chipped riven cladding and lighting that emphasises the beauty of the cladding.
The kitchen is one of the home owner’s favourite rooms. This warm and inviting culinary area took a total of nine months to complete but the end result was a harmonious blend of elements comprising mahogany doors and granite worktops. Working very closely with an interior decorator, the owner was able to create interiors that perfectly reflect the personality, lifestyle and needs of those who inhabit the home. The decor is a synergy of modern and classical elements.
The success of this home is the result of the owner’s impeccable taste, the use of quality building materials and attention to detail.
