Located in Waterfall Estate, this home is a haven for relaxation and entertaining that more than meets the home owners’ expectations. They wanted a fluently functional home with great aesthetics, along with all their treasured modern comforts. From its prime location in a green and secure estate to its contemporary architecture, chic interior and well considered layout and design, this home has seamlessly married all their requirements.

The exterior façade is an architectural delight of clean, angular lines contrasted with two stone-clad columns that support the roof’s exposed wooden trusses.

The majestic glass door at the main entrance and statement mirror in the reception area welcome light into the home, and create an indulgent feeling of tranquillity as one enters the inviting spaces.

A bright and airy social/living area comprising a gourmet kitchen, dining room, formal lounge and a guest suite, make up the rest of the ground floor. The TV in this living area can be viewed from the gourmet kitchen, which is fully equipped with multiple ovens and stoves, an extractor, steamer, microwaves and a fireplace that heats the surrounding level. The living area has a double volume ceiling and vast windows as well as sliding stacking aluminium doors that create a seamless indoor-outdoor transition. This allows the owners to simply enjoy their view and glorious front yard; liberally bringing in more fresh air and light in an entertainment area that offers myriad zones throughout the space.

The upstairs area includes three bedrooms and bathrooms, and tucked below this two-storey house lies a spacious basement that is occupied by three rooms namely a utility room, a high-tech home theatre and cosy wine cellar. The interiors have been decorated in a mostly neutral and natural palette of colours ranging from whites and greys to beiges and browns.

The wooden floors, furniture and different shades of brown create a natural feel, while the polished porcelain floors in the walkways and the glass and stainless accents on some furniture add a sense of modernity. This home is truly a lesson in understated elegance.
