Residents here enjoy houses that overlook open pastures and agricultural land with animals grazing. Nearby, a dirt road surrounded by oak trees leads to a dairy farm where fresh dairy products can be purchased.

The home owner explains that building in this area is not easy as dolomite in the ground requires the removal of rock as well as casting raft foundations. The owner ingeniously took advantage of the raw material and used the natural rock to enhance the rustic look of the home. This creativity is seen in the walls that are clad in natural rock extracted from the excavation of the home’s foundations.

Some of the features include two studies, a lounge with dining area, along with a coffee station and a bar counter. There is also a hobby room as well separate kitchen for the grown-up children living on the upper level.

The home integrates the indoors and outdoors with rooms opening up to balconies, verandas or the inner courtyard at the core of the house. An open-plan layout has made for easy and practical entertaining. The fully equipped entertainment area boasts a tranquil pool and jetted spa bath.

The owner is an interior decorator and used her years of experience to display her impeccable sense of style. A great example is seen in her French Provencal black and white bedroom accentuated by pale purple accessories.

For those privileged enough to call this venue home, this dwelling caters for every need and more importantly, it has allowed the owner to show off her artistic flair.
