Whatever it is, this home has a strong sense of character, is a daily dose of inspiration, and you know you are in for a treat as soon as you walk through the main door.
Noted as one of the wife’s favourite spaces, the kitchen is where she spends about 70% of her day. “I wanted superb ovens, cupboards, appliances and space for each item, but I also wanted the kitchen to be the heart of the home. Food, wine and people are our loves, and this encompasses all of it,”
she explains.
When it comes to the aesthetics of the home and the intricate details that bring it to life, her husband gives her all of the credit.
“That is all thanks to my wife and her home stylist. My wife is a perfectionist; it’s her nature to make sure things are done correctly,” he says. Even the wallpaper in her study was redone twice – once as a result of a slightly skew line in the wallcovering, he adds.
With each family member’s ideas taken into account in terms of the look and feel of this home, it is no wonder the end result has exceeded expectations. It is just as the bathroom wall art reads: “Why fit in when you were born to stand out?”
