The company’s products are designed by a mother and daughter team, Ethne Attlee and Tracy Burke, and manufactured in-house by a team of dedicated staff. The pillowcases are made using 100% cotton, have a 200 thread count and are silkscreened by hand using water-based inks.
Big Heart Company was founded in March 2010 by Ethne and Tracy, and has been running successfully ever since.
Their inspiration is drawn from all things beautifully handmade as well as the creative spirit. According to Ethne: “Our brand is unique because we take loving care in every beautiful product that we produce and ensure that the high standard of quality is always adhered to.”
Big Heart Company products can be purchased at the Neighbourgoods Market in Salt River, Cape Town on Saturdays from 9am till 2pm. The company also has an online shop at Hello Pretty and international buyers can purchase products at Etsy.
