While my main passion lies within the world of interiors, I often find myself drawn to the kitchen to try my hand at an adventurous dish or a spot of baking. I tend to discover the recipes on one of the many food blogs I follow, which gets the immediate attention of my taste buds! Like interiors, the styling of food is just as seductive, and with more creativity forever being pumped into this industry, the rise of the gourmet food blog is one I watch with interest.
One such foodie is Australian, Mish Lilley. “Mish Delish”, her blog that she started back in 2006, was one of the first to hit the virtual world and is still very much going strong. Mish began this journey while starting a family. With a strong passion for food and daughter to a mother who nurtured her talents, this cook, food stylist and mum truly stands out from the crowd.
The same can be said for her home, which packs a firm interior’s punch with clean lines and brave, strong colour combinations. I adore this home; the spotty wallpaper, which resides in the kids’ room is awesome, as is the striking black floors, hits of sizzling orange and large doses of white to ground the whole look.
I love the fact that creativity comes in so many forms, and when two industries overlap, you are almost always guaranteed a stunning outcome!
