Hoi P’loy is a vintage revival brand started in 2012 by Ploy Phiromnam and Guy van der Walt in Woodstock, Cape Town. “We’re filling a gap in South African decor by introducing a range of retro inspired lighting products that appeal to a contemporary decor aesthetic.” explains Ploy.

The wide range of hand crafted, Thomas Edison style vintage bulbs are available in 8 different shapes and sizes with a variety of element styles. Their 40 Watt amber glow creates a soft, romantic light that transforms interiors and conjures up a nostalgic atmosphere from the past. The antique light bulbs are available in both Bayonet (B22) and Screw (E27) fittings.

The braided electrical cables that are now available from Hoi P’loy offer a dynamic new presentation to an old classic. A variety of bold and neutral colours compliment a combination of interior colour schemes, while dynamic patterns offer a subtle outlet for the more daring creatives out there.
