Atlantic chic

A magnificent view over the world-famous Bakhoven beach and the allure of a healthy lifestyle made this move a no-brainer for the owner, who now calls this special spot home. The apartment is also within walking distance of neighbouring beaches, as well as the vibrant, beachfront restaurant boulevard of Camps Bay.

The owner ran past the development in its early building stages and immediately knew this was the place to come home to. After working and living in London, the convenience of being able to walk to everything, and the vibrancy of beachside living, was what made the decision final.

The apartment boasts three beautiful en-suite bedrooms, an open-plan lounge, kitchen and home study area. The owner’s friend is an interior decorator and helped him to bring his overall vision to fruition. In describing his personal style and taste, he says he always leans towards contemporary, smart design with clean lines, but loves the warmth and lived-in feeling he has created in his home. His overall inspiration was “New York apartment meets The Hamptons”, he says.

The bedrooms have a monochrome palette with accents of blue and grey. To avoid a cold, overly modern aesthetic, the homely feel was enhanced with cornices and detailed skirtings throughout. Lighting plays an integral part too, highlighting features and finishes. Offering an opulent living space that allows the beauty of the indoors to perfectly complement the setting, this apartment is light and bright – loads of natural light flood the space from the windows overlooking the Camps Bay palms.

Tranquil and relaxed, it’s also the perfect place to call home for someone looking to tap into the Mother City’s natural energy.
