Built in a prime estate in an area that is close to their relatives, favourite shops and places they love to frequent, this home perfectly suits its modern family.
After doing extensive research into newly built upmarket homes, and being inspired by specific designs and features in the houses they love, the owners knew exactly what their ideal home should look like. This made it easy for them to articulate their ideas to the builder, who was briefed to create “a modern, high-tech home”.
The result is a contemporary home with an exterior that boasts clean, angular lines and an interior that is defined by high-end and high-tech design features.
The upstairs area consists of four spacious bedrooms that are decorated with individual themes, all with en-suite bathrooms. They are all beautifully finished, but the master bedroom is definitely the masterpiece on the floor. Clad in neutral colours, rich textures and luxurious fabrics, and fully equipped with a double shower, spa bath and steam shower – it’s a relaxing retreat.
On the ground floor is a formal lounge that has a beautifully cosy fireplace, and a formal dining room that leads onto a large patio.
There is also a large living and entertainment area, with practical amenities like a built-in kitchen, a toilet and shower, as well as a home cinema, pool table, pinball machine, and jukebox. This space is unsurprisingly the family’s favourite area in the home.
The house also has garaging for four cars, a guest toilet and two staff rooms that are fully equipped with a kitchen and lounge.
The owners wanted a decor theme that combines modern design with classic style and retro flair, so decorating the interiors was their biggest challenge. To overcome this, they decided to work with an interior designer, and an artist to supply commissioned artworks. This meeting of the minds and skills has resulted in a gorgeous contemporary home that’s as high-tech and high-end as it is warm and inviting.
