Because of the owners’ love of modern minimalistic finishes and cooking and entertaining, this home is focused around an open-plan kitchen and entertainment area. “As the kitchen plays an integral part in our home, we wanted to create a modern and functional kitchen, but with a natural tone that blends well with our current furniture. The matte black and oak-finished kitchen cupboards exceeded our expectations,” says the home owner.
In terms of this area’s design, the owners opted for 4m-high ceilings for an abundance of natural light. “The wood fireplace, generous floor area and separate kiddies’ play den where they could play their hearts out resulted in a space where we have created a lot of memories,” says the home owner.
