Another structural element is the use of large windows and mass expanses of glass – these were also added to merge the indoors and outdoors, and establish light and airy spaces in the home.

The stacking folding doors also facilitate the merging of interiors with exteriors by allowing all the living areas to open up onto balconies. The owner also adds that the rainbow arches around the home are not just for their aesthetic appeal but they also offer protection against the rain.

So as to not detract from the home’s natural beauty, the interiors were designed to showcase rooms with an understated elegance. The colour combination took inspiration from the sea which is complemented by natural materials such as cotton, leather, wool and embroidered fabric. Interior decorators opted for solid wood furniture which accentuate the elegant theme.
